Refund policy
General Return Policy
Permissible Timeframe for a Return: Herc Outdoors provides a thirty-day (30) day return policy. All requests for return must be made within thirty days (30) days from the invoice date. RMA numbers issued by Herc Outdoors are valid for ten (10) days and the product must be returned to Herc Outdoors within this timeframe. RMA numbers will not be extended or reissued. This does not cover damage caused by shipper. Products returned outside of the thirty-day (30) day return policy are subject to a 20% restocking charge.
Defective Product Determination: is at the discretion of Herc Outdoors, product that is defective will be repaired, replaced, or credited.
Non-defective and Stock Balance Returns: Non-defective returns and returns of product that exceed the actual quantity needed by Customer are accepted for credit or replacement at Herc Outdoors’s discretion.
Shipping Damage: If product arrives with damage that is visible or likely to have affected the contents of the package, the preferred method of handling it is to refuse delivery of the shipment due to damage by the carrier. The carrier will be responsible for returning it to Herc Outdoors. The Customer must note the reason for refusal on the carrier’s “attempted delivery” record. If the damaged shipment is accepted, the recipient must note all known and visible damage on the carrier’s “delivery record” in order for Herc Outdoors to file a damage claim.
The recipient must save the product and all packing that it arrived in and notify their Herc Outdoors representative immediately so a carrier inspection and pickup can be arranged. Failure to follow these instructions or to report damage within fifteen (10) days from the invoice date will result in the request being denied as out of return eligibility.
Unauthorized Returns: Any product returned to Herc Outdoors without a valid RMA number may be returned to the Customer and the Customer may be charged a $50 processing fee per shipment returned, plus related freight charges. If the Customer refuses the shipment of unauthorized returns from Herc Outdoors or returns the product a second time without prior authorization, the Customer agrees to relinquish all right and title to and waives all claims against Herc Outdoors for credit related to such product.
Customer Responsibilities: Herc Outdoors Quality can be reached at 651-674-0007 and they will determine if the product is eligible for an RMA. No returns of any type will be accepted without an RMA number. For prompt service, please have as much of the following information available as possible:
Customer name, Customer purchase order number, invoice number, part number, quantity, product condition, and reason for the return request. If approved, Herc Outdoors Quality will provide the RMA number, “ship to”, and other pertinent information. Clearly mark an adhesive shipping label with this information and place it on the outside of the shipping container.
Company Statement: Herc Outdoors reserves the right to change the content and intent of the General Return Policy at any time.
